I am pleased to have completed the advanced training in Narrative Organisational Consulting at the Stuttgart Media University in September 2024.
Continuing professional development in the area of Narrative Organisational Consultingwww.narratives-management.deenables me to work with an organisation's narrative foundations as a trusted advisor and leadership expert. It should help me to recognise and utilise the narrative dimensions of companies. Because a narrative organisation can make the hidden visible, put knowledge into flow, and discover new possibilities for action.
On a systemic basis, the fundamental attitude of narrative thinking and working, as well as methods of narrative working, were imparted in all essential contexts of organisational consulting – from coaching to development and change processes.
The narrative perspective – in psychology this is also referred to as a „narrative turn“ – enables a different approach to be taken in organisational development and coaching. This approach perceives and values the stories that „are there“, thereby facilitating more successful development and change processes.
This experience has shown me how powerfully narratives shape thinking, actions, and culture within organisations. To truly understand an organisation and guide change meaningfully, its often-invisible stories are crucial.
The advanced training course comprised 10 days over a period of more than 6 months. Successful completion was confirmed with a certificate from the Transfer and Further Education Society of the Stuttgart Media University.
A big thank you to Dipl. Psych. Christine Erlach and Prof. Dr. Michael Müller for the inspiring and educational guidance during the ten intensive training days!
